..and gentle on the nail.
Instead of aggressively filing the polish off with a file or burr, nail foils are carefully removed from the nail using an acetone-free nail foil remover and a manicure stick.
What you need:
- Manicure stick or dental floss stick
- Nail foil remover
- For Korean UV films we recommend the Easy Peel Remover from Ohora!!!
Apply a few drops of foil remover to the side of the nail and let it sit for about 30 seconds. Then, gently slide the wooden stick (the pointed end if the foil is still very stuck) between the nail and the foil, and slowly and carefully work your way toward the other edge of the nail. As soon as you feel resistance, add more nail foil remover. A dental floss stick is also suitable for removal instead of a manicure stick!
Take your time and do not tear the nail foil, as you could otherwise damage the top layer of your nail.
Once the nail foil has been completely removed, clean the nail with acetone-free nail polish remover to remove any adhesive residue from the nail.
Non-UV nail foils can also be removed like nail polish with conventional nail polish remover if no UV top coat was used. If you have applied a UV polish over the foil, you can remove the foil as described above using nail foil remover and manicure sticks.
